NuORDER by Lightspeed, a leading B2B commerce platform, has appointed Chris Akrimi as its new Head of Revenue for Lightspeed B2B/NuORDER. The appointment signals the company’s ambition to strengthen its presence in the global wholesale sector and enhance its offering to key industries, including luxury retail and global brands.
Akrimi joins Lightspeed with an extensive background in commerce and technology, having worked with some of the world’s most prominent companies. Michael Ganci, Senior Vice President of B2B Go-to-Market at NuORDER by Lightspeed, hailed Akrimi’s appointment as a strategic move to align the company’s goals with market demands.

Prior to joining NuORDER, Akrimi was CEO at The Layer, a technology firm specialising in AI-driven product data management. There, he helped position the company as a leader in the intersection of artificial intelligence and commerce, with a particular focus on how AI can enhance the management of complex product data for businesses.
In addition to his role at The Layer, Akrimi has held several high-profile executive positions. He served as the global Chief Revenue Officer at Joor, a wholesale platform, and held leadership roles at globally renowned retail brands, including Ralph Lauren, Eastpak, and Scotch & Soda.
In his new role at NuORDER by Lightspeed, Akrimi is expected to leverage his years of experience to expand the company’s revenue operations and support its ambitious growth targets. The platform, which powers wholesale buying and selling, has become a key player in facilitating commerce between brands and retailers across various sectors, including fashion, tech, and luxury retail.

Akrimi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Bedfordshire Business School, and his combination of academic and professional experience has made him a highly regarded figure in the retail and technology sectors.
