Effective February 2025, Mario Paterlini and Hidde van der Wal will join EV’s five-member board, marking a significant step towards reinforcing the company’s governance and supporting its strategic international expansion.

With a deep international focus, particularly in the United States and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), Paterlini is well-versed in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and change management. His extensive background in fostering continuous productivity and development is expected to be a valuable asset to EV.
Paterlini also serves as an independent director on the board of Vitale Barberis Canonico, a leading Italian textile company, and is President of Gruppo Idrogeno Vettore Energetico at Federchimica, Italy’s association for the chemical industry. Hidde van der Wal’s Expertise in Global Distribution
Hidde van der Wal joins EV’s board after an illustrious career in the chemicals distribution industry. Serving as CEO of Barentz from 2000 until 2023, van der Wal oversaw the company’s expansion across Europe and initiated its global growth into the Americas and Asia. Under his leadership, Barentz became a major player in the specialty distribution sector, solidifying his reputation as a leader in international business development.
